Personal Banker
This position is required to understand the features and benefits of all credit union products and services to better inform and cross-sell based on member needs, plus be able to effectively perform The Personal Banker conducts all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers on member accounts and must show sound skills to reconcile daily transaction activity as well as open new accounts and perform other Personal Banker duties The PB must be organized and efficient to complete a large number of transactions daily and keep files up to date and in order. This person is expected to be friendly, helpful and possess knowledge of the credit union, its philosophy, by-laws, and operational procedures. Overall purpose of this position is to provide accurate, informed, and friendly transaction services to members in both capacities.
Abilities, Characteristics, Knowledge, and Skills required:
- College degree desired. High School education may be acceptable depending on experience.
- Preferred: six months experience as a teller, cashier or related field, with proven lending duties or exposure, i.e. consumer loan and new account experience.
- Sales experience necessary.
- Sound PC skills and good basic skills at reading, writing, and arithmetic.
- History of pleasant, enthusiastic personality and a mature disposition are required.
Teller
This position is required to understand the features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services to better inform and cross-sell based on member needs. The Teller conducts all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers on member accounts. They must show sound skills to reconcile daily transaction activity; they must be organized and efficient to complete a large number of transactions daily. At the same time, they are expected to be friendly and helpful since they are the primary representative of the Credit Union. The overall purpose of this position is to provide accurate, informed, and friendly transaction services to all SFCU members.
Abilities, Characteristics, Knowledge, and Skills required:
- High school graduate required, some college desired.
- Teller experience, cashier or related field desired, but not required.
- Reasonable PC skills.
- Good basic skills at reading, writing and arithmetic.
- Pleasant, enthusiastic, and mature.
